Have you ever heard of ‘A Pint of Science‘? Well, I hadn’t until a few weeks ago when I heard some scientists (who’d have guessed?) talking about it on Radio 4. The more I listened the more I thought it would be a great idea to adapt to archaeology, and more specifically to Peeling Back the Layers. So that is what we have done.
Thursday 30th June, 2016, sees our first ‘Pint of Archaeology’ get-together at the Packhorse Inn, Crowdecote. Archaeologists and volunteers from the project will be there having a pint or two and will be welcoming anyone who wants to come and join us, to talk about what we are doing on the project You might even have some tales to tell about the people who once lived around the area and indeed at Under Whitle itself. You can also ask us any questions you have about archaeology more generally – I can’t guarantee you’ll get all the answers though!
We will be there from 7.00pm onward.
Hope to see you there!
