Birmingham and Midlands Staffordshire Genealogical& Heraldry Society study indicates that the inscription continues:
' was interred January /the 1766 aged 94 / years .…… (continues but illegible)' This has not be verified. NB Sheen Parish Records indicate that a William Wardle of Sheen was buried January 24th 1760
